Présentation

Leysin American School is a Swiss boarding school offering US High School Diploma, International Baccalaureate, and ESL programs. Students enjoy extracurricular activities in sports, arts, drama, and music, and are able to take part in a ski term and cultural travel. University counseling is provided and emphasized, with students attending top universities in the US and around the world.

The Leysin American School experience doesn’t come to an end when the summer begins—the summer of 2018 saw the launch of our two dynamic summer programs, LAS summer and LAS summer edge.

We have been running summer programs since 1949 and our new programs combine all the tried and true elements of camp our students have come to know and love with some exciting, innovative changes.

LAS summer lets students create a program that is tailored to their personal interests and aspirations. Students select a morning program as well as clubs, afternoon activities, and evening socials. Regular excursions allow students to explore their host country and take in the culture, sights, and sounds of cities like Geneva, Bern, Montreux, and Lausanne.

LAS summer edge emphasizes self-discovery, highlighting the LAS mission statement of “developing innovative, compassionate, and responsible citizens of the world.” Each week of summer edge explores one of these traits in depth, introducing students to inspirational speakers, taking them on company visits, and letting them try fun activities that push their limits.
